I did some online investigation relating to this item. Pretty, frankly the reviews had been mixed, but I thought I'd try it anyway. The cost was suitable and item couln't have been easier to set up and use. It comes pre-loaded and it's tiny size (a small smaller sized than a pager) makes it quick to carry on your belt. I tested it against the accuracy of the GPS on the golf carts on one particular of the nearby courses, as nicely as other GPS units my friends have. It seems to be as accurate as any and there is no annual fee!
Purchased this summer of 2011. Have put to use it for more than 30 rounds of golf in Colorado, Florida, and Arizona. Just energy it up upon arrival at the course, give it 5 minutes to acquire the satellites and discover your course and you are ready to get distances to hazards, greens (Front, Center, Back). I am convinced that this tiny bubba has resulted in a net reduce in my handicap of 5! Don't even feel about it. At this value, there is nothing greater out there.
